| It’s not just your body you’ll have to work on. You have to go way deeper than that to feel better about yourself and who you really are. Here are just some of the ways to achieve your life’s goals: 1. Get faster. Once week, push yourself a bit further by working out with someone who is tough on himself. That person should be just a bit quicker than you, a bit more focused. You’ll fight harder to stay on pace, but you’ll quickly see just how far you can go. Just make sure that when you challenge yourself, you also know your limits. Once you can sustain the pace, that’s when you can do a bit more. 2. Get fitter. To build endurance, add a bit more to your exercise routine. If you feel your body straining, slow down and catch your breath. Set a limit, one that works best for you, and then work your way toward that goal. 3. Feel leaner. Eating moderate amounts of healthy fat can help you lose weight because it staves off hunger by making you feel full for longer periods of time. Even better, these fats are found in fruits, vegetables, and fish can lower your bad cholesterol, reduce your risk of heart disease, and decrease pain in your joints. 4. Be smarter. Research on which types of foods are better for you. Work on recipes that make them tastier and learn to incorporate these in your diet. You have to create a certain level of interest, and while that may be difficult at first, it does get easier once you see the results of all your hard work. 5. Be kinder. Learn to reward yourself. Buy the gear so you have more willpower to work on your body. Then, plan out rewards so that you achieve your goal with baby steps. Every time you achieve something, treat yourself to a piece of clothing that makes you feel better. Then, give yourself a very big prize at the very end. Divide your target into increments so you can sustain your motivation all throughout the process. This way, it won’t feel too much like work. 6. Be better. Stick to your dreams and work on yourself. Aside from getting fitter, you also have to surround yourself with people who care for you. Having supporters throughout the process will make you feel that you aren’t just pleasing yourself, but you’re also making the people who care for you proud. Show just as much kindness for their call and be there when they need you. You simply can’t lose when you surround yourself with friends and family who want nothing but the best for you. While some goals are more challenging than others, you should never give up. Each of you has been called for something, and as soon as you know what you want out of life, you should never let anything stop you. Keep your eye on the prize, and pretty soon, you’ll see yourself becoming that person you’ve always wanted to be. |
