Never Jinx Fate

If you’ve lived your life constantly on the losing streak, you probably should change a few habits. First of all, don’t keep hanging out with someone who constantly worries. This is what you call social contagion and if you’re with someone who’s always sure that the world is against them, that kind of thinking can affect you too. Live life with a smile because this causes a domino effect with the people around you. Bonds are formed more quickly with a genuinely happy face.

Moreover, never be vague about what you want. If you’re not extremely clear about what you’re looking for, you’ll miss the signs that might lead you there.  Take time to figure out what makes you happy. See yourself in ten years and find what kind of life you want to lead. But also, never rush into things. Impulsive decisions are usually based on fear, and not on what you really want. And most importantly, try to start off on the right foot. If you expect to sabotage something, then that’s most likely how it will play itself out. This is called molding your future based on what you expect. If you think it’ll turn out well, your chances for success are much better.

So much of the good stuff will depend on living in the moment. If you’re always planning out every single moment of the day or have tunnel vision of how things ought to turn out, you won’t notice the other good things that may cross your path. You are more likely to notice opportunities when you’re more relaxed or aware. The people who are narrow-minded tend to be constantly stressed about reaching their goal that they miss clues that would have actually been helpful. So, take an imaginary chill pill. If you avoid micromanaging every aspect of your life and begin unpacking your schedule a bit, you find that you calm down instantly and start noticing the small miracles around you.

It doesn’t have to be huge change or a major overhaul of your life. Just start slowly and pick random days wherein you don’t really have to follow the rules you’ve set for yourself. Drop the list and just go out and have a good time. It’s nice to live like a child once in a while because this is what life is all about: a mixture of hard work and relaxation. A balance between the good and the bad is what gets you to realize why some things are worth it.

Plus, good fortune won’t come if you don’t change up your schedule a bit. When you fall into a routine, you’re shutting the door to new, life-changing possibilities. No one creates luck by sitting around and waiting for life to happen. Action, trying new things, adding a little bit of spice into your life, and getting out are what brings opportunities your way. Regret has never been helpful. While you can moan about mistakes, it’s what you do despite these that count. The more you get yourself out, the more you’ll find yourself at the right time and place. It’s all about expanding your universe.
